In 2019, the Brisbane Lions identified the development of a new training and administration facility, combined with a boutique playing arena and community sports precinct, as a key component to delivering future success and greater engagement with their fans, as well as the wider community and commercial partners.
The result is the much heralded Brighton Homes Arena at Springfield, on the outskirts of Brisbane that opened in late 2022 and hosted the 2022 AFLW Grand Final.
Warrick was involved in the early stages of the project, being the Project Lead during the critical Briefing and Concept Design stages before moving to Melbourne and reducing his involvement with the project.
