The Swans previous team base within the SCG, while an ‘industry leader’ when it first opened, was approaching its expiry date with the available facilities lagging behind other clubs in the AFL.
Following a feasibility study in 2015, the Swans identified the nearby Royal Hall of Industries (RHI), a large exhibition building also located within the Moore Park Precinct, as their new home for the next 30 years and beyond.
The new Sydney Swans HQ and Community Centre completed early 2023 is now the centre for the clubs training, administration, academy and community outreach programs.
It is arguably the best elite training facility in the AFL and Australia – and definitely the most unique being housed within a historical and State Significant building.
Warrick was Project Lead for Populous as well as Design Team Lead in a novated D&C procurement process.
